If you are interested in wrestling on Team Quest at the NHSCA National Team Duals at the Virginia Beach Sports Center on May 27 – 29, 2023.

This year, we will be taking as many teams as we can fill, in the three age groups: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. The cost per wrestler, less hotel rooms, is approximately $225 (depending on # of teams, gear cost, and full rosters). Your registration payment covers the entrance fees, coaches’ fees, coaches’ hotel rooms, early weigh-in, and gear. Payment in full for this event is due by March 15, 2023. You may pay by credit card, Venmo to @Jennifer-Akerly, cash, or check. If you elect to pay by credit card, you will receive an invoice on March 1, 2022, payable within 15 days. (If you wish to pay before March, please email us at wrestlequest@gmail.com, and we will send out the invoice for payment.

Your registration is not final, and your wrestler's spot on the team is held until we receive your full non-refundable payment. However, if your wrestler loses a wrestle-off for a weight (holding these in late April) and your wrestler loses and cannot wrestle the weight above or below, we will refund your payment. This is the only exception. We will not refund because wrestlers can’t make a weight class they registered for or because of unforeseen events or injuries. If you find yourself in this circumstance and we can get another wrestler to fill the spot who can pay, then your payment will be refunded.

Please note, our members are expected to compete with our club in this tournament. If, for some reason, your wrestler does not make the Team and a spot is available on another, you are free to compete. Still, we ask that you speak to Coach Akerly before committing to another club or Team, so we can work together to make the best decision for your wrestler and the club. Loyalty and respect are highly valued characteristics of our members, families, and coaches. We appreciate honoring our ask regarding competing on or with other club teams. The other Quest team members rely on everyone giving their best effort and loyalty when competing at this highly competitive and prestigious tournament. When we have an entire team roster of Quest Trained wrestlers, we are one of the top clubs competing in the country! Last year our High School Black Team, nearly won the entire tournament!

Additional information, each Team is guaranteed six matches during the first two days of competition. Day Three is re-seeded into a Championship Bracket & each Team that qualifies into Day Three will wrestle at least two matches.
